Dynamics of the Mind
The human mind, the most complex and amazing mystery known to modern science, did not come with an operators manual. Lessons must be learned by investigation and trial and error. Thanks to the efforts of many forward looking scientists conceptual models of the mind have emerged. Controlling the mind is much simpler when a person understands what it is and how it works.
The combination of the conscious and subconscious mind make up the whole. The conscious mind processes about 2,000 bits of information per second, the subconscious processes billions of bits per second. The operation of the conscious and subconscious mind resembles in concept a basic chemistry model.
The higher the saline content of water, the greater amount of pressure it will exert on the walls of it's container. This is because the density of the fliud increases greatly with a much smaller corresponding increase in volume. When two fluids of differing salinity (sodium and chlorine) are seperated by a semipermiable membrane, atoms of sodium and chlorine will migrate across the membrane from the higher density fluid to the lower. The atoms that make it across first are those that posess the most kinetic energy and strike the membrane at the correct angle. This is the manner in which thoughts migrate between the subconscious and conscious minds, except that thoughts pass both ways through the membrane. (see figure below)
The subconscious mind of an unaware person is shaped mostly by the information that reaches it via the 5 senses, and to a much lesser degree by the thoughts of that person's conscious mind. Therefore, the stucture of the environment is very important in the shaping of the subconscious mind. A one-dimentional conceptual model of the subconscious mind would resemble the craters on the moon. (see figure below) Every time a piece of information reaches the subconscious mind it creates an impression. If the same information is repeated over a long period of time or accompanied by strong emotions, it will create large, deep impressions. The deepest impressions control the subconscious mind, and the subconscious mind mostly determines the experiences of the conscious mind.
Thoughts originate from the impressions. The thoughts that reach the conscious mind are the ones that are capable of crossing through holes in the membrane. Anytime you force yourself not to think about something you close the hole in the membrane where that thought is capable of passing through, causing it to bounce off. Just like in chemistry, reducing the porosity of the membrane will increase osmotic pressure on the side of higher salinity. The repression of the thought will usually cause it to intensify. The thought will return to the impression where it will pick up additional "energy" with which it will strike the membrane next time. If the person is successful in keeping the barrier closed, the thought will bounce back and forth until it has expended all the "energy" stored in the impression, at which point it will be dead. These impressions are the biggest deciding factor determining your lot in life. Understanding this concept is vital to quickly developing positive impressions and eliminating negative ones.
Gaining control of one's mind can be a difficult task, especially so for persons who have a lot of obligations and responsibilties and very little time for introspection. Fortunately science has developed some very effective technologies and methods that make mind control quicker and easier than ever before.
