Ever been stuck trying to decide where to diversify? Ever had an itch to try something new but couldn't decide what looks best? Business goes where the money is. A quick and easy way to find the money is to look first globally and then locally. Broadly scan industries globally looking for profitable niches. Weed out the losers. From the most profitable niche, look locally at what companies and what regions are doing best and why. This is where you'll find the money. If you're too busy (or lazy) you could consult a quantitative analysis firm, that's the easiest way. Or you could go looking for buried treasure, that's always more fun.
